Elk-handled seax by Tobin Nieto

My buddy Tobin Nieto (Forged in Fire champion!) is working on a limited run of Viking seaxes with the YouTube channel Forged in Fire.  They did a video on the process of building the seax (part of which was filmed at my shop) and have an upcoming performance test video as well.  Check it out!

  1. This is a cool-looking knife, this is what I want to say first. I like it a lot. But, to be a bit nitpicky, it´s not necessarily a Viking seax. Typically the seax had not this offset ricasso part. You might want to look here for a seax typology:

Please note, I really like this knife, and it would make a great accessory for frontiersman re-enactment or even a fantasy accessory... I´m just trying to be helpful... :-)
